Product information
Luvit-R is an original combination of natural substances, a biologically active agent that plays an important role in eye health. Based on the properties and biological activity of the components in its composition, it improves vision, increases visual acuity, protects the retina from the harmful effects of free radicals, ensures light and color reception, and prevents eye diseases.
Lutein and zeaxanthin are nutrients that help keep eyes healthy at all ages. They are carotenoids that protect the eyes from the damaging effects of external factors (ultraviolet rays, bright light, computer, TV screens) and ensure the activity of the pigment layer. Lutein and zeaxanthin are not produced in the body, they enter only with food, they accumulate in the lens of the eye and in the cells of the central part of the retina (macula, yellow dot). The preservation of full vision depends on the amount of lutein and zeaxanthin in the retina.
Lutein and zeaxanthin have 2 main functions: antioxidant and protective.
These vision pigments absorb 80-90% of the "harmful" blue light rays in the retina, preventing sunlight from penetrating into the deeper layers of the retina. Under the influence of sunlight, free radicals are formed in the retina of the eye. Lutein and zeaxanthin are powerful antioxidants, neutralize free radicals, ensure their removal from the body, protect the eyes from their damaging effects, reduce the risk of premature aging of eye cells, the development of dystrophic changes in the retina and the cornea, and prevent the destruction and clouding of the retina. . It improves night vision, increases visual acuity, has a positive effect on the regeneration of the retina. It is used to prevent eye fatigue, age-related maculodystrophy, cataracts and other eye diseases. Lutein and zeaxanthin increase the optical density of the macular pigment in the eye and protect against macular dystrophy. These carotenoids filter short-wavelength light and reduce the formation of free radicals in the retina. Lutein and zeaxanthin significantly improve the quality of vision: contrast, reduction of "blind" spots, recovery after exposure to bright light. Zeaxanthin regulates high-contrast vision and important functions of the retina such as correction of blind spots, while lutein regulates low-contrast vision and rapid recovery of visual function after exposure to bright light. Therefore, these two important items should be taken together. Studies have shown that the combination of lutein and zeaxanthin is more effective.
Vitamin A (retinol) participates in the synthesis and exchange of rhodopsin, a visual pigment, adapts the eyes to see in the dark, strengthens the retina, and plays an important role in eye health and visual acuity. During vitamin A deficiency, the synthesis of rhodopsin is disrupted and causes "night blindness" in humans. Color perception may also be impaired. Vitamin A provides moisture to the eye surface and protects it from drying out. Deficiency of retinol can cause drying of the cornea, conjunctivitis, and in severe cases, corneal perforation (tearing). Taking this vitamin is a must during vision impairment.
Rutin (vitamin P) is a bioflavonoid with natural powerful antioxidant properties. It is not synthesized in the human body. It is important for better assimilation of vitamin C, normalizes the structure, elasticity, tone and permeability of small blood vessels (capillaries), prevents their sclerotic damage, ensures normal blood flow pressure, prevents bleeding. Vitamin P stimulates tissue respiration and ensures accumulation of vitamin C in tissues.
Group B vitamins reduce the negative effect of some amino acids on eye vessels, improve blood circulation, act as an antioxidant, and reduce the risk of developing cataracts and glaucoma.
Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) actively participates in the "burning" of carbohydrates and the synthesis of ATF, which is the "life fuel". The energy released during this process is used to work the eye muscles. Riboflavin protects the retina from the harmful effects of UV rays, ensures adaptation to the dark, and improves visual acuity. Vitamin B2 strengthens eye vessels, accelerates blood circulation, improves pupil activity, has a positive effect on color and light perception and night vision. Provides reserves of glutathione, an active antioxidant in the lens of the eye. Riboflavin deficiency causes impaired vision in the dark, bursting of capillaries in the eye, and in case of a significant deficiency, it causes serious inflammatory diseases of the cornea, damage to the retina and optic nerve, and the formation of cataracts.
Vitamin B2, together with vitamin A, participates in the activity of eye receptors and protects eye tissues from short-wave rays.
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) participates in cellular metabolism (especially protein), improves blood supply to the eyeball, and ensures stable activity of nerve fibers. Eliminates symptoms such as eye fatigue, discomfort in the eyes, dryness, foreign body sensation, redness, violation of the integrity of small capillaries. Deficiency of this vitamin causes blurred vision.
